One of the most iconic mountain ranges on Earth stretches across eight Alpine countries. The Alps have had a significant impact on world history and have been playing roles in movies for as long humans have been capturing the world around them on film.
One of the most recognizable mountains would be Mont Blanc, but there are more than 100 peaks that make up the range, including the Matterhorn. As a result of the size of the range, it has an impact on the climate of the surrounding countries. These different climates allow for a fantastic variation of wildlife and plant life.
High up, you will find the ibex climbing on the steep rocks. In the fields, red deer may be seen grazing, and of course, you're sure to find Edelweiss growing at almost any elevation.
